No. During the first 5 minutes you will feel a cooling sensation that may be uncomfortable, but not painful. After this time, the effect of the cold causes the treatment area to become numb.

No. Cryolipolysis treatment for obese people (BMI over 35) is contraindicated. CRIOCUUM is a treatment that allows the reduction of localised fat accumulation. It is not indicated for the treatment of generalised or visceral fat.
It is not recommended to modify treatment times or the recommended temperature. CRIOCUUM’s clinical protocols guarantee the greatest destruction of adipose tissue safely within the indicated treatment time. The lowest temperature that can be reached (and guaranteed) with CRIOCUUM is -10ºC. With this temperature we achieve the effect of fat destruction from 40 minutes of treatment (20 minutes for very small areas). The treatments last between 30 and 60 minutes to guarantee the maximum destruction of adipose tissue.
It is a cellulose membrane embedded in a cryoprotective gel that prevents cold damage to the epidermis.
A course of treatment with CRIOCUUM comprises between 1 and 4 sessions on the same area. Our results indicate that 45% of the adipose tissue in the treatment area can be eliminated.
Paradoxical hyperplasia of adipose tissue is an adverse effect of cryolipolysis treatments that consists of an abnormal and benign growth of fatty tissue in the treated area. It occurs in less than 0.1% of treatments and can only be resolved surgically (liposuction).
The causes of this side effect are unknown, although it is suspected that excessive suction during treatment may be related to its development. The CRIOCUUM device provides a gentle fit throughout the treatment to ensure the safety of the treatment. However, it is important to inform our patients of all side effects and contraindications of the device before proceeding with treatment.
