Relevant information relating to COVID-19 and its impact for the medical-aesthetic salons

Dear professionals and clients,

The Termosalud team hopes that you are coping with your country’s lockdown restrictions, and we offer our support and condolences for those who have suffered the pandemic effects in more personal level. 

We needed to stop our activity; it hasn’t been easy, but it was necessary, and now it is time to work together again.

We want to offer you some safety and hygiene tips that will allow us to resume work with the necessary responsibility and ease. Moreover, you can contact our training team, to solve any doubt that may arise in this regard. 

Facing this health crisis, Termosalud wants our clients to know the following:

  • We give full support to our health authorities by following their recommendations and indications, and we ground those recommendations on the information and guidelines given by our Health Authorities and the WHO.

  • Moreover, we recommend to follow and comply with the COVID-19 safety protocols and health and hygiene guidelines issued by your country’s health authorities, in regards to the opening, cleaning and safe keeping of the medical and aesthetic salons.

  • We remind you that the medical-aesthetic treatments should only be carried out when the safety and protective measures for both client and operator can be guaranteed. 

  • We appreciate and value the work that the professionals at the beauty and medical-aesthetic clinics are doing, facing this unprecedented situation rigorously and always prioritizing the person’s health and safety.

  • We will update all the relevant information to simplify and improve the protocols, thuseasing the return to normal.

 

Cleaning and disinfecting of the devices Protocol

From Termosalud we want to convey to the professionals that use our devices a message of calm, and remind you that the current cleaning protocols recommended in the user manuals guarantee the disinfection and safe use of the devices. The instructions for cleaning the devices have been reviewed and updated according to the requirements following the virus COVID-19 situation.

These are the steps to follow when cleaning and disinfecting the different parts of the devices.

  • VERY IMPORTANT: the use of bleach is strongly discouraged (in general, not only for the devices), since a bad dilution of traces of product could cause negative effects, such as burns, allergies, etc.

The SYMMED face and body handpieces, ZIONIC, VMAT/VMAT PRO, CRIOCUUM and ENEKA PRO should be disinfected as follows:

DISINFECTION

Use a disinfectant spray and disposable paper for its cleaning. Please check with your local health authorities regarding the recommended products in your country.

You can also use a diluted soapy solution (which should be removed), 70% ethanol or 0.5% hydrogen peroxide solution *.

DRYING

Remove the excess soap, water or other products with a cloth.

CLEANING

Remove the excess conducting product (Symmed and Zionic cosmetics) with disposable paper.

DESINFECTION

Clean using a diluted soapy solution (which should be removed), 70% ethanol or 0.5% hydrogen peroxide solution *.

DRYING

Remove the excess soap, water or other products with a cloth.

CLEANING

Remove the excess conducting product (Symmed cosmetics) with a disposable paper.

DISINFECTION

Clean using a diluted soapy solution (which should be removed).

  • WARNING: The use of 70% ethanol or 0.5% hydrogen peroxide could compromise the life-span of the head; thus, it is recommended a gentle cleaning with soapy water, which should be thoroughly removed with soft disposable paper.

DRYING

Remove the excess soap, water or other products with a cloth.

CLEANING

Remove the excess conducting product (gel) with disposable paper.

DISINFECTION

Clean with 70% isopropyl alcohol for at least 1 minute.

  • WARNING: be especially careful when cleaning the head, since any knock or crack would damage the handpiece beyond repair.

DRYING

Dry with a special optical lenses cloth.

The cleaning of these elements answers the need to protect the professionals, and its frequency should adapt to that need.

SCREENS

With the device switched off.

Clean the screen with a wipe or soft cloth soaked in 70% isopropyl alcohol (cleaning fluid for lenses).

  • IMPORTANT: Do not apply any spray directly on the screen. Do not use a lot of product. Do not exert too much pressure.

CABLES

With the device switched off.

Clean the cable with a cloth soaked in 70% ethanol.

Dry carefully.

HANDLES, CASINGS, FASTENERS, ETC.

Use a disinfectant spray and disposable paper for its cleaning. Please check with your local health authorities regarding the recommended products in your country.

Linfopress garments should always be used with disposable clothing for each client.

TROUSERS

The use of the trousers doesn’t entail a major risk of infection; however, you should spray the waist with 70% ethanol between treatments.

Cover the garment surface with a disposable paper to protect it against eventual contaminations.

JACKET

The use of the jacket entails bigger risk of infection, therefore we recommend you not to use it in at least one month. Termosalud will update this information following the health authorities’ recommendations.
